Job Summary
Design and build scalable data infrastructure and backend services on AWS to power analytics, reporting, and AI applications. Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow while maintaining reliable APIs and distributed systems. Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and support, proactively identifying opportunities for platform improvements and architectural enhancements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-performance data products and sustainable, long-term solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering and/or data engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong expertise in SQL and experience working with complex data models and large-scale datasets
- Proven experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines and distributed data systems
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, C#, Go, Kotlin, Ruby, or similar object-oriented languages
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, and system design
- Experience designing scalable, reliable cloud-native applications and working with AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, high-growth environment
- Excellent communication skills with professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow
- Experience building APIs and data services
- Exposure to modern data platforms, AI/ML infrastructure (we use BentoML), experience in MLOps or analytics engineering
- Experience with MCPs
- Experience contributing to platform engineering, developer tooling, or internal frameworks
