Job Summary
Senior QA Tester responsible for hands-on quality ownership of an automation platform for remediating complex documents into accessible outputs, blending manual and automation testing. Requires executing exploratory testing, creating and maintaining formal test cases, contributing automated tests within a Playwright (C#) framework, and collaborating with SDET and QA peers. Focus areas include UI workflow automation, API validation, visual comparisons, reducing flaky tests, end-to-end workflow validation, and clear defect reporting with repro steps, evidence, and environment details. The role operates in a hybrid environment with possible on-site requirements and emphasizes communication, ambiguity tolerance, and delivering quality releases.
Required Qualifications
- Strong exploratory testing skills and ability to design scenarios to uncover edge cases and workflow failures
- Strong defect communication: reproducible bugs with evidence and clear impact
- Experience contributing automated tests within an existing automation framework
- Practical experience with test automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress) with preference for Playwright (C#) or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly
- Experience creating and maintaining formal test cases and test documentation
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with on-site requirements as needed
- Ability to collaborate with SDET, QA peers, and Support Specialists to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and prevent reoccurrence
- Attention to plan/refinement discussions to identify risk early and ensure testability in work
