Job Summary
Senior Software Development Engineer for US Federal contracts at Workday Government. You will lead design and development of metadata-driven software in an object-oriented framework, mentor teammates, and collaborate with Product Managers and QA Engineers. The role requires a security clearance (TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred) and U.S. citizenship, with possible on-site work in the DC/MD/VA area. Expect to work on real-world federal government modernization initiatives, contribute to high-quality software through pair programming and code reviews, and leverage UML, Java, Python, C#, C++, REST, GraphQL, and JSON in a SaaS/web application context. Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years experience with UML, Web application development or SaaS technologies
- 8+ years of experience with design and development using an object-oriented language (Java, Python, C#, C++, etc)
- 8+ years of experience designing/developing business applications
- 8+ years of experience with design and analysis of software for performance
- Experience leading agile/scrum teams, providing technical guidance, mentoring junior engineers
- Experience with JSON, REST, and GraphQL is a plus
- Strong knowledge of design patterns in object-oriented development
- Experience developing usability-focused and configurable applications
- Security-minded development for federal or enterprise environments
