Job Summary
Own features and services from framing to release across multiple product areas, leveraging daily AI coding agents to ship faster while maintaining production quality. Deliver work in an agile manner by iterating quickly, adapting to shifting priorities, and weighing trade-offs between multiple solution proposals. Shape system design by defining schemas, interfaces, and abstractions that scale, while coding for performance, security, accessibility, and maintainability. Review pull requests and mentor one or two engineers to lift team capabilities, and monitor owned services to build automations that improve efficiency. This role is part of an AI-native engineering organization at Chronus, the market leader in enterprise mentoring software, where you will grow toward people or technical leadership within a small, seasoned team.
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years in software engineering
- A track record of driving ambiguous problems to completion with limited guidance, and communicating clearly across functions
- A product thinker — you understand the customer problem behind the work and build solutions you're proud of
- Fluent with AI coding agents — you steer them to the intended result, not just correct it afterward
- Full-stack: exposure to backend services and a modern JavaScript front end
Desired Qualifications
- A plus: Ruby on Rails and React (or a comparable server-side framework and modern SPA front end), multi-tenant SaaS, and experience with MySQL or other relational databases
