Job Summary
Senior Frontend Engineer to lead and contribute to the development of Filevine’s frontend platform. You’ll work across Svelte/SvelteKit, AngularJS, and React to build production web applications, craft reusable components, and manage state and reactivity. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and QA to plan releases, participate in code reviews, and implement robust testing with modern tools. You’ll emphasize UI/UX quality, accessibility, performance, and responsive design, while maintaining strong collaboration with non-technical stakeholders and guiding a small team on major product features. Remote within the United States only.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional frontend development experience building production web applications
- Hands-on production experience with Svelte (or SvelteKit), including building reusable components and managing component state and reactivity
- Working proficiency in AngularJS and React — read, maintain, debug, and extend existing codebases
- Strong fundamentals in modern JavaScript (ES2020+); TypeScript or willingness to ramp up quickly
- Solid HTML, CSS, and responsive design skills (Flexbox, Grid) and CSS preprocessors or utility frameworks
- Experience consuming and integrating REST or GraphQL APIs, handling async state, errors, and edge cases gracefully
- Lead a small team that owns, builds, and innovates on major features; coordinate with management and QA on releases
- Familiarity with frontend testing tools (Playwright, Jest, Vitest, Cypress) and habit of writing tests alongside features
- Working knowledge of Git and modern workflows (CI/CD, code reviews, branching, Agile/Kanban)
- Attention to UI/UX quality, accessibility (WCAG basics), and frontend performance
- Ability to work remotely and independently within the United States; collaborate with non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to learn users\' challenges and impact of work
- B.S. in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Nice to have: C#/.NET, API backend development, design systems, state management at scale, AWS cloud familiarity, exposure to legal tech domain
- Interest in AI-assisted UX patterns and integrating LLM-powered features into the frontend
