Job Summary
Build cloud-based, event-driven software systems with high availability, scalability, and resilience as a key contributor to the Data Platforms team. Design and implement data pipelines, storage, and APIs for internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with data scientists to construct machine learning pipelines. Contribute across the development lifecycle, including software design, code development, functional and performance testing, and documentation. Identify and implement process improvements to automate manual tasks and optimize infrastructure for scalability and cost efficiency. Participate in on-call rotation for production systems and protect client data confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 5-8 years related experience
- Master's degree and 2-5 years' equivalent experience
- PhD and 0-2 years experience
- Strong programming skills in Kotlin
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Strong programming skills in Golang
- Experience with message brokers, queues, and buses like Kafka, Azure Service Bus, ZeroMQ
- Experience with NoSQL databases
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL
- Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra
- Familiarity with using relevant, modern software test tools and equipment
- Proven ability to learn new tools and technology
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, and several simultaneous tasks and projects
- Strong frontend development exposure
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation for production systems when required
- Ability to protect the confidentiality and security of client data
