Job Summary
Lead a team delivering a cutting-edge enterprise platform enabling over 7 million daily decisions for progressive airlines. Design and maintain backend services in Kotlin or Java following Amadeus architectural standards, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions. Mentor engineers, foster technical excellence, and drive SDLC improvements to enhance developer productivity and system reliability. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production issues, validate product requirements, and implement preventive measures for system stability. Work autonomously within Agile environments to ship impactful releases while ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.

- Identification and implementation of opportunities to streamline the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

- Good experience with Kotlin or Java
- Experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch, Spring Integration)
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database design
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and the use of Test Containers
- Experience designing and operating microservice architectures
- Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with message-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ
- Some familiarity with frontend technologies such as Vue.js
- Experience working in Agile environments such as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, or Kanban
- Exposure to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products and operating production systems at scale
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the travel or airline technology domain
- Familiarity with Amadeus APIs
- Familiarity with airline reservation systems (Passenger Service Systems – PSS)
- Familiarity with Revenue Management Systems
