Job Summary
Design and develop software applications within an agile delivery process, supporting architectural direction, solution specification, and implementation of new and existing services. Execute the full suite of development tasks in modern pipelines, including validation activities like unit and system integration testing, infrastructure activities such as IAC, and the creation of monitoring and logging solutions for production environments. Partner with stakeholders to identify business needs, provide knowledge transfer to team members, and support solutions in a build-it-own-it model while continuously innovating in process and technology.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in designing, developing and implementing software applications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as computer science, business informatics or mathematics
- Comparable education or professional experience
- In-depth experience with several full stack technologies such as Spring, Spring-Boot, Spring-Web, JSF, JPA/Hibernate, REST, Kafka, HTML/CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap
- Excellent knowledge in JEE/Spring, JAVA 8, Maven, Shell-Scripting
- Experience with micro-service architectures and linux based operating systems
- Experienced in runtime, build and deployment technologies as well as project tools, e.g. Eclipse, IntelliJ, GitLab, JIRA and Confluence
- Willingness to take ownership and the ability to demonstrate strong personal commitment
- Must be comfortable with being considered a reliable and proactive influential team member who is not afraid to take on responsibility in the team
- Must be high on social skills, team spirit and empathy
- Strong communication skills (e.g. with business analysts and stakeholders as well as technical-representatives), coordination skills
- Knowledge of modern database technologies (relational/non-relational)
- Knowledge of virtual infrastructure and associated services (e.g. public cloud) as well as containerization and orchestration technologies
- Knowledge of payments industry ideal (ISO8583, POS etc.)
- Highly organized and highly competent in solving issues and finding solutions
- Can do, will do open-minded attitude
- Must have strong verbal, written and organizational skills and strong customer focus
Desired Qualifications
- Full stack development experience is preferred
- Ideally docker, pcf, kubernetes
