Job Summary
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET, and SQL Server while optimizing databases and building secure integrations with Epicor ERP and third-party platforms. Create manufacturing dashboards, workflow automation, and shop-floor tools, then analyze business processes to recommend technology improvements. Troubleshoot production issues, participate in architecture decisions and code reviews, and mentor team members on security and maintainability standards. Balance new development with modernizing existing applications and reducing technical debt. Communicate project status and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role supports business-critical applications across manufacturing, operations, and finance at a fourth-generation family-owned metal fabrication company.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including responsibility for production systems
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database design
- Demonstrated experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating enterprise systems
- Experience with Visual Studio, Git or Azure DevOps, IIS, debugging, logging, and production deployment practices
- Ability to review execution plans, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and make sound indexing and query-design decisions
- Ability to gather requirements directly from business users and convert them into supportable technical solutions
- Strong written communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and ownership skills
- Practical problem solver who favors dependable, understandable solutions over unnecessary complexity
- Comfortable moving between application code, SQL, integration, deployment, and user support
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with IT, operations, and business leadership
- Curious, accountable, security-minded, and committed to continuous improvement
