Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern frameworks to support mission-critical capabilities. Build scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and database solutions while developing user-facing functionality with JavaScript and Angular. Collaborate with systems engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot defects, and optimize application performance. Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and sprint planning, while supporting testing, deployment, and CI/CD automation initiatives. This role requires a TS/SCI clearance and is based in Chantilly, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Around 6–10 years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java
- Experience with Spring Boot or similar Java application frameworks
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL
- Experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript and Angular
- Experience working in Linux/Unix development environments
- Familiarity with Git, version control, Agile methodologies, and modern software development practices
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- TS/SCI with an FSP
- ability to obtain or maintain a U.S security clearance
- U.S citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing microservices-based applications
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application development
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools
- Experience using build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle
