Job Summary
Create architecture, design proposals, and prototypes that align with the platform vision while influencing technical direction through RFCs and design reviews. Break down large initiatives into parallelizable work chunks, champion proposals through the SDLC, and contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and core product builds. Troubleshoot persistent production issues, drive reliability and observability, and maintain current technical documentation. Design and build key features using modern .NET technology, optimize complex SQL Server queries, and evaluate emerging cloud capabilities. Mentor developers through design reviews and pair programming, share knowledge of new technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate technical decisions into business value. Operate as a technical leader shaping architecture and raising engineering quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated impact beyond a single team
- In-depth experience with server-side .NET and C#
- Experience with highly distributed microservice architecture
- Proven experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native, SaaS/multi-tenant platforms at scale
- Experience on AWS
- Strong software fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles
- Track record of advocating for code quality
- Experience with test-driven development, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Experience designing and consuming well-designed HTTP APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar)
- Experience with both monolith applications and microservices
- Knowledge of relational databases, such as SQL Server
- Experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with ambiguity and evolving requirements
- Strong initiative to improve processes, tools, methodologies, and product quality
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check through Certn.co which typically includes an Identity Verification and Criminal Record Check

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, ideally with orchestration such as Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud providers beyond AWS (Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing concepts
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio
