Job Summary
Conduct full-stack backend development for web-based applications, focusing on Java web services, Spring frameworks, and complex database schemas with Oracle. Participate in Agile workflows and utilize Linux CLI tools, Git, and ELK stack for system monitoring. After a one-year onboarding period, join a one-week on-call rotation to address system issues outside normal hours. Core hours run 9 AM to 3 PM daily, five days per week, with a forty-hour work week. This role supports a 200+ FTE technical development program at Leidos, an industry leader in digital and mission innovations.
Required Qualifications
- 6-10 years of demonstrable developer experience with a backend emphasis
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- BS degree
- 8+ years experience
- Additional experience in lieu of degree
- Strong Java programming skills
- Java persistence API experience for complex database schemas
- Java web services experience (JAX/WS)
- Strong understanding, knowledge of Linux (CLI)
- Experience in working on teams utilizing Agile workflows and processes
- Working knowledge of the Spring frameworks/Boot
- Required to be included in an on-call, one week duty rotation that will require them to address any system issues that occur after normal working hours

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with development in Cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS)
- Java integration with AWS services
- Databases: Oracle, Oracle RDS
- Frameworks: Vue.js, Bootstrap/Vuetify
- Additional programming/scripting languages: Python, JavaScript, Bash, XML, JSON, YAML, SQL and PL/SQL
- Software: GitHub / Git, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Jenkins, Puppet, NAGIOS
