Job Summary
Consult clients in person and remotely to identify high-value AI and automation opportunities, translating business problems into technical plans for executives. Build fast with LLMs and agentic coding tools to deliver copilots, automations, and RAG systems, integrating them into existing client environments without breaking current operations. Deliver on traditional and legacy projects by developing custom software, reviewing architecture, estimating effort, and supporting deployments to cloud environments while investigating customer issues. Lead and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design documents, coaching teams on responsible AI tool usage. Operate autonomously in forward-deployed modes or within structured sprint teams, available to support production environments at odd hours.
Required Qualifications
- Senior-level experience building and shipping software (frontend, backend, or full stack), including databases, APIs, and cloud deployment on AWS and/or Azure
- Demonstrated, hands-on use of LLMs and AI coding tools to deliver real work — not just experimentation
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills; comfort presenting to and advising business and executive stakeholders
- A consultative, business-first mindset: you start from the outcome and work back to the technology
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a structured team and sprint process
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows systems and the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or a forward-deployed / solutions-engineering role
- Experience building production AI features: prompt engineering, RAG, evaluations, agents, and integrating LLM APIs
- Domain exposure to middle-market operations, and/or hospitality, entertainment, restaurants, venues, or PE-backed businesses
- A track record of mentoring engineers and growing their client and design skills
