Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality C# and WPF applications while participating in Agile sprint activities including planning, estimation, and reviews. Execute unit and system testing to ensure software quality, prepare technical documentation, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions for Defence capability. Identify opportunities to improve development processes and tools while adhering to company policies and NV1 security clearance requirements. This permanent full-time role is based in Canberra or Brisbane for a Senior Software Developer with strong OOP principles and testing experience.
Required Qualifications
- NV1 security clearance or higher
- Strong experience in software development or a similar role
- Strong experience developing applications using C# and WPF
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design
- Experience with unit testing and delivering high-quality, maintainable code
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Active NV1 Defence Security Clearance
- AGSVA security clearance
- Compliance to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO/TFS), Git and Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments
- Familiarity with the Microsoft software development and testing ecosystem
- Experience developing software for Defence or other secure, mission-critical environments
