Job Summary
Senior Software Developer, Cloud Platform at Verily Health. Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure using automation tools across cloud providers (primarily GCP) while adhering to cloud architecture standards and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, FedRAMP). Automate cloud infrastructure and operations to reduce toil, enable self-service workflows, and support production systems. Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, data scientists, and security teams; help develop documentation and training materials; influence infrastructure decisions within the engineering organization; write technical and design documentation; contribute to Kubernetes-related tasks and IaC actuation workflows. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in public cloud platforms (GCP or AWS)
- 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- GitOps experience with GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Jenkins
- 2+ years of programming/scripting (Go, Python, Shell)
- 2+ years of experience with cloud network solutions
- 2+ years of observability, incident management, and achieving high availability (99.9%+)
