Senior Software Developer (Back-end) (LAU)

Senior Backend-focused software role developing Leap platform capabilities. Own features end-to-end from design to deployment and support, design and implement REST APIs in Python, build and maintain web services, write automated unit/integration tests, conduct code reviews, and collaborate across teams to improve engineering practices and developer experience. Mentor junior engineers, contribute to system design, participate in agile Scrum processes, and engage in cross-functional work with product and engineering teams; prior quantum computing experience not required but opportunity to learn exists. The role emphasizes scalable, reliable backend systems, problem-solving, independent decision-making, and contributing to the technical direction of the platform. Participation in the annual Hackathon is encouraged. As part of the team, you’ll help deliver real-time quantum-classical hybrid cloud solutions and support Leap’s real-time quantum application environment.
