Job Summary
Senior Software Architect with strong Java, Azure, Spring, and React expertise to own architecture across multiple products in a microservices environment. Hybrid work arrangement in Atlanta (2 days in-office). Responsible for driving architectural decisions, producing design docs and API specifications, mentoring engineers, delivering proof-of-concepts, and collaborating with business and technology leaders to advance our technology landscape.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Java, Spring / Spring Boot, REST, and API design
- Frontend experience with React (preferred) or Angular
- Experience with API gateway products (e.g., Apigee, Kong, Azure API Management, Zuplo)
- Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB) and RDBMS concepts (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
- Experience with messaging middleware (Kafka, Solace, Camel, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and domain-driven design
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket and/or Azure DevOps), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)
- Experience with containerized deployment (Docker) and Kubernetes (Azure Container Apps preferred)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and leadership teams
- Experience in Scrum/Agile environments
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable architecture
- Documentation skills: high-level design flows, sequence diagrams, API specs, and JSON schemas
- Proficiency in Azure cloud and API design
