Job Summary
Manage a complex caseload of adults with significant mental health needs, completing strengths-based assessments, care planning, and risk assessments. Undertake safeguarding investigations and interventions while supporting individuals to maximise their independence and wellbeing. Provide casework supervision and professional guidance to Social Workers and Social Work Assistants, including deputising for the Team Manager. Collaborate with families, carers, and partner agencies to coordinate support plans and prepare reports for decision-making forums. Monitor outcomes and contribute to service development and continuous practice improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
- Current Social Care Wales registration
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Social Care or Mental Health Services
- Experience managing complex caseloads within a statutory setting
- Experience supervising or supporting colleagues
- Strong understanding of mental health, safeguarding, and social care legislation
- Excellent assessment, risk management, analytical, and report-writing skills
Desired Qualifications
- Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification
- Experience working within a Community Mental Health Team
- Experience supporting staff performance and quality improvement initiatives
- Ability to speak Welsh or other community languages
