Job Summary
Senior Social Worker in the Children’s Assessment Team, based in Woking, with a permanent role. Responsibilities include undertaking timely and high-quality assessments in line with statutory guidance, building relationship-based practice with children and families, engaging families using motivational approaches to understand risk and need, deciding on statutory intervention or step-down support, completing robust risk assessments, and developing safeguarding plans. Requirements include a recognised Social Work qualification, registration with Social Work England, a minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience, ASYE completion, experience in UK statutory children’s services (ideally in assessment/frontline), and a full UK driving licence. The role offers agile working with a mix of home and office-based arrangements and a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, CQSW, CSS or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualified social work experience
- Completion of ASYE
- Experience of working within UK statutory children’s services, ideally within an assessment or frontline team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
