Job Summary
Senior Social Worker – Children in Care focused on high-quality reunification for children and young people (0–18) subject to Section 31 Care Orders. Responsibilities include Reunification Practice to enable safe return home with the child’s voice at the center; Relationship-Based Practice using trauma-informed approaches and Signs of Safety; Direct Work with children and young people; Partnership Working with Family Group Conferencing, Supporting Solutions, Early Help; Court & Exit Planning and contributing to court applications; clear, reflective reporting and up-to-date records. Requires Social Work England registration and a recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or Degree) with ASYE completion. Desirable familiarity with trauma-informed practice and Signs of Safety. Hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week in the Seaham Spectrum Office (Durham).
