Job Summary

Supervise Small Business Advocates assigned to NYC BEST, ensuring comprehensive support for specific industries and monitoring performance to meet deliverables. Provide direct, high-level technical assistance to business owners navigating zoning updates, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements while establishing relationships with community partners and City agencies. Lead initiatives to promote economic development, represent the team at external meetings, and analyze data to enhance outreach effectiveness. Develop and implement engagement strategies, create training materials, and conduct onboarding for new staff. Audit case notes for accuracy, handle customer escalations, and collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement in small business services across the five boroughs.

Required Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • Two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above
  • At least one year of experience as described in the first option (baccalaureate degree and two years of experience)
