Job Summary
Collaborate on the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code principles. Develop and maintain local tooling for development and observability, including interfaces into AWS, CircleCI, and other infrastructure components. Actively participate in the on-call rotation while contributing to the enhancement of the on-call experience for the team. This role supports the cloud infrastructure team to empower product development teams, ensuring application performance and stability for tens of thousands of users worldwide. You will leverage AI tools to augment capabilities while maintaining engineering judgment.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in providing systems support within a cloud environment, preferably AWS and its various services
- Experience with IaC using Terraform
- Experience optimizing and improving continuous deployment performance
- The ability to juggle multiple projects and incident management
- Relevant experience in programming languages such as Ruby, Python, or Bash
- A deep passion for learning, reliability, automation, orchestration, and continuous improvement
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams even in challenging high-pressure situations
- Sought out and learned the most effective practices and tools to hone your craft, including how to effectively incorporate AI
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Ruby on Rails, GQL, React applications in a production environment
- Experience with security, scalability and observability
- Kubernetes experience
- Experience managing networking, DNS, and domain infrastructure, including tools such as Cloudflare
