Job Summary
Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help Circle’s platform scale. You’ll act as a first responder for system incidents, own and evolve monitoring, alerting, and log management, and manage and optimize database infrastructure (MySQL, Postgres, Clickhouse, Redis). You’ll maintain and improve server infrastructure and deployment pipelines, collaborate with engineering teams to build scalable, resilient systems, and contribute to internal SRE tooling and automation. Requires 5+ years in SRE/DevOps/infrastructure roles, deep AWS and Kubernetes expertise, experience scaling production systems in high-growth environments, AI-assisted tooling experience (e.g., copilots, LLM-based debugging, automation), and AMER timezone alignment. Based in AMER region; compensation $130k-$140k USD per year; fully remote with global team and semi-annual company retreats. Bonus points for SOC2 experience or Clickhouse familiarity.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering role
- Deep expertise with AWS and Kubernetes
- Experience scaling production systems in a high-growth environment (startup or similar)
- Hands-on experience with database operations and optimization (MySQL, Postgres, Clickhouse, Redis)
- Proven experience in incident response and production system outages
- Familiarity with observability tooling, monitoring, and logging best practices
- Based in North or South America (AMER region) for timezone alignment
- Proficiency in English at CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5
