Job Summary
Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for driving the reliability of AlayaCare’s live SaaS solutions across the Australia region. Role involves designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure and platform services (including Kubernetes and observability tooling), implementing infrastructure as code and automated testing, contributing to reviews to improve scalability and maintainability, and building AI-enabled tooling to accelerate delivery. You will monitor production systems, participate in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and development teams to translate requirements into practical infrastructure solutions while identifying operability, security, performance, and cost trade-offs and driving continuous improvement. The position emphasizes hands-on AWS/Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes, scripting, and security fundamentals with a focus on reliability, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps or a similar role
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform
- Practical experience running workloads on Docker & Kubernetes
- Proficient in at least one development or scripting language (Python, Go, Bash)
- Practical knowledge of infrastructure as code (CloudFormation or Terraform)
- Knowledge of APM, logging & metrics systems (New Relic, Prometheus, ELK)
- Some background knowledge of system & network security fundamentals
- Experience participating in incident management
