Job Summary
Senior Site Reliability Engineer for AbbVie’s Cyber Security Engineering team. Responsible for ensuring production systems used by Security Teams operate reliably and with uptime, automating repetitive tasks, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deploying and managing microservice and containerized applications, implementing strong security controls in distributed systems, coordinating automated deployments across platforms, and improving observability through scalable automation, alerts, and post-mortems. Requires advanced degrees with substantial experience and expertise across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), GitOps and IaC (Terraform, ArgoCD), CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana), and Linux/Windows environments; experience in Agile environments and DevOps practices is expected; preferred skills include SPIRE/SPIFFE, Terraform/Crossplane, scripting and development tooling, and serverless architecture knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years’ experience
- Master’s Degree with 6 years’ experience
- PhD with 2 years’ experience
- Knowledge of Cloud Platform administration (AWS, GCP, Azure)
