Job Summary
Lead Site Framing teams by planning and executing residential builds, assembling pre-built wall and floor structures, and performing back framing to complete homes. Examine blueprints to prepare project layouts, guide site logistics and craning, and operate hand and power tools including saws, drills, and nail guns. Mentor teammates through on-the-job training while maintaining safety standards and following quality control procedures. Collaborate with construction and procurement managers to ensure timely resource planning and actively participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives. This year-round, full-time position offers $45-55/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 5 years+ of residential framing experience
- experience planning and leading framing teams to execute residential builds
- Proficient in building codes
- Residential construction knowledge
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Knowledge of health and safety rules
- Knowledge of imperial and metric measurement systems
- Must be able to push, pull and move equipment and/or material up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to distinguish colors
- Must be able to operate equipment and hand and power tools
- Lead Site Framing teams
- Maintain safety standards in the work place
- Follow quality control procedures
- Work with the construction and procurement manager to ensure timely planning of resources
- Participate actively in problem solving sessions, continuous improvement initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman Carpenter certification is an asset
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit software is a strong asset
- Team work oriented
- Excellent problem solving skills and good communication skills
