Job Summary
Senior Simulation Engineer role in Eaton’s Electrical Business based in Suzhou, China. Drive advanced simulation and modeling to improve product design, accelerate development timelines, and reduce costs. Partner with cross-functional R&D teams across APAC and collaborate with global design teams. Use Ansys to develop thermal, structural, CFD, and electromagnetic simulations; apply optimization with ModeFrontier; mentor modeling/simulation team members; ensure on-time delivery and cost target alignment; share technical insights and best practices across internal teams; establish design guidelines and documentation processes.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with multiple simulation types using Ansys and optimization tools (e.g., ModeFrontier)
- Strong experience in at least one advanced simulation area (e.g., thermal simulation, impact analysis, or coupled simulations)
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and ability to influence design decisions through simulation insights
- Good command of written and spoken English, with strong analytical thinking and perseverance
