Job Summary
Senior Silicon Validation Engineer for a leading cloud/technology provider focused on validating state-of-the-art compute silicon powering large-scale cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include executing and maintaining system-level validation regressions for CPU/SoC/platform technologies, investigating hardware and firmware issues, validating PCIe/CXL IO endpoints, and developing automation scripts in Python/C/C++ to support testing, triage, and analysis. The role involves working in a lab environment, analyzing test data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure platform readiness and performance. onsite five days per week in Hillsboro, OR.
Required Qualifications
- Silicon Validation Engineering (3+ years) – hands-on experience executing, maintaining, and debugging silicon validation test plans, regressions, and system-level validation activities for CPU, SoC, or platform technologies.
- PCIe, CXL, IO, and Endpoint Validation (3+ years) – strong understanding of high-speed interfaces, networking and storage endpoints, protocol validation, debugging, and performance analysis.
- Electrical Validation and Debug (3+ years) – experience validating SerDes and IO technologies using hardware debug tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, BERT, and related equipment.
- Python, C, and C++ development – ability to develop scripts, automation, diagnostics, and validation tools to support testing, triage, and analysis activities.
