Job Summary
Senior Signal Integrity Engineer responsible for design, simulation, characterization, and application of high speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnects. Include component development and customer support on new product introduction; collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team; share knowledge and pursue continuous improvement; assist Sales Engineers with product break-in strategies based on signal integrity expertise; identify and resolve signal integrity issues in PCB layout; design, build, and measure circuit boards for measurement and verification; apply circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCB layout principles for high-speed digital design.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 5 years of industry experience with electromagnetic principles for digital signal integrity
- Experience in component design and application of high-speed connectors into communications equipment is a plus
- Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipment
- Experience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave, HSPICE, MatLab, and ADS
- Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methods
