Senior ServiceNow Developer (hybrid-remote)

Job Summary

Analyze the current environment, propose automation, and coordinate upgrades to the ServiceNow instance. Manage permissions, troubleshoot day-to-day operations, and work with the support team to resolve issues. Set up notifications, scheduled reports, and alerts while maintaining the Service Catalog and Service Level Management. Participate in requirement gathering to provide time estimations and create configuration documentation. Script platform areas using JavaScript, HTML, Angular, and CSS; develop integrations with third-party tools or modules. Implement best practices in coding and design per ServiceNow standards and follow the ITIL process to develop solutions. Find opportunities to automate and enhance the end-user experience.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 Years of working experience with ServiceNow modules like Service Portal, HR Service Delivery, HR Onboarding and Transitions and ITSM
  • A minimum of 4 years experience with ServiceNow app development
  • Basic level understanding of ServiceNow Platform & its capabilities
  • Understand the business needs and the needs to standardize processes and build this into the design
  • Good understanding of service-oriented architecture, software application architecture
  • Experience with web technologies JavaScript, ES5+, HTML, CSS/SCSS, SQL
  • Knowledge of web-based protocols and standards (Web services, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML)
  • Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS or React
  • 3 to 5 years of development experience with creating simple/complex customer-facing web or mobile applications
  • Experience facilitating analysis and planning processes with non-IT (business stakeholders) operations
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues without supervision
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to work across all departments
  • Ability to convert business logic into functioning code
  • Experience in web application development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AJAX
  • Scripting in various areas (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Access Control Lists, UI Policies, Portal Pages, UI Pages)
  • Develop integrations with 3rd party tools or ServiceNow modules
  • Knowledge of IT service delivery concepts and technology platforms which include, telecom, network, infrastructure, software, and cybersecurity
  • Participation in requirement gathering phase to provide time estimation to client needs
  • Create and update the existing configuration documentation
  • Implement best practices in coding and design as per ServiceNow standards and community guidelines
  • Follow the ITIL process to develop solutions
  • Find opportunities to automate and enhance the end-user experience
