Job Summary
Conduct general and emergency maintenance of apartments and common areas, including turnover cleaning, painting, and repairs. Perform monthly visual inspections of property for defects, roof conditions, and safety hazards, while ensuring walkways remain clear of ice and snow. Interact positively with residents and the public to enhance community image and retention, maintaining an attractive curb appeal and clean dumpster areas. Manage on-call availability for after-hours and weekend emergency calls, utilizing personal protective equipment and maintaining a professional appearance. Assist with third-party inspections as needed and perform other related duties assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair
- Ability to read repair manuals
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Must be able to follow oral and written directions
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must possess insurance
- Must be physically able to climb ladders
- Must be physically able to bend
- Must be physically able to crawl into small spaces
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Must be available for emergency calls after hours and on weekends and holidays
