Job Summary
Diagnose HVAC air handlers, condensers, and package units on site for multi-family and light commercial properties. Perform repairs, including low and high voltage troubleshooting, compressor changeouts, and fan motor replacements. Input service notes into the field service application and coordinate with dispatch for parts ordering. Communicate with property management and maintain a stocked work vehicle. Requires EPA certification, a valid Texas driver's license, and at least seven years of HVAC experience. The role involves climbing stairs and working in extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 7 years of previous experience in HVAC
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- EPA certification
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Basic computer/tablet knowledge
- Low and high voltage troubleshooting
- Conventional HVAC system changeout knowledge
- Compressor changeouts
- BLOWER AND CONDENSER FAN MOTOR REPLACEMENTS
- Climbing: Ascending or descending stairs
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- VRF and mini split training or experience
- Experience diagnosing HVAC issues in multi-family apartment buildings
