Senior Service Manager – VP within Barclays US Consumer Bank. The role leads the IT Services department, defining strategic direction, managing service risk, and ensuring delivery of production services with senior stakeholder alignment. Required Qualifications

  • Leadership in IT Service Management (ITSM) disciplines with a proven ability to drive production stability and service resilience at scale
  • Ability to engage deeply in technical issues while translating complex topics for senior, non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in managing service risk, controls, and governance, ensuring adherence to SLAs, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills across distributed and cross-functional environments
  • Experience leading high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and data-driven decisions in a regulated enterprise
  • Understanding of modern technology architectures across on-prem and cloud environments (AWS, OpenShift)
  • Experience in application support, infrastructure, or engineering environments for troubleshooting, recovery, and service optimization
  • Familiarity with ITIL, observability/monitoring tools, and automation practices
  • Exposure to Java-based applications and production issue management
  • Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and ITIL-aligned practices for operational resilience
  • Ability to collaborate with functional leadership and senior management on strategic initiatives
