Job Summary
Senior Service Engineer role in Trieste, Italy, leading service technicians on Mega Yacht projects. Perform advanced troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and upgrades across electrical, automation, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Lead and coordinate service technicians, subcontractors, and project personnel on site; mentor less experienced team members; act as primary customer contact with shipyards, vessel crews, owners, and customers worldwide. Identify risks and resource constraints, escalate to Project Engineer/Manager, and prepare service and inspection reports and completion documentation. Travel extensively within Europe; ensure adherence to safety rules, working practices, and environmental requirements; support MegaYacht retrofits and complex commissioning projects from shipyards to client sites and vessels.
Required Qualifications
- Apprenticeship, technical diploma, or degree in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, marine engineering or related field.
- Several years of experience as a Service Engineer with a proven track record of leading teams on site.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, automation, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; MegaYacht experience is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Europe, including overnight and multi-week assignments.
- Good command of English (minimum B2 level)
- A valid driving license.
