Job Summary
Execute and optimize SEO and organic growth initiatives to increase visibility, qualified traffic, conversion, and eCommerce revenue. Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap analysis to identify growth opportunities, then optimize product detail pages, category pages, and educational content for discoverability and conversion. Perform technical SEO audits addressing crawlability, indexation, site architecture, structured data, and website performance while partnering with developers and stakeholders to ensure implementation. Analyze organic search performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush to translate findings into actionable priorities and evolve AEO/GEO practices for AI-powered search experiences. This hands-on individual contributor role supports a large, specialized eCommerce catalog in the firearms and outdoor industry, focusing on strengthening technical and content foundations to drive measurable business performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, merchandising, advertising, communications, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, eCommerce marketing, organic growth, content marketing, or a closely related digital marketing discipline
- Strong knowledge of eCommerce SEO, content optimization, and organic growth best practices
- Experience with keyword research, technical SEO audits, competitive analysis, and organic performance analysis
- Strong understanding of crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, structured data, redirects, and website performance
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or comparable SEO and analytics platforms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn performance data into practical recommendations
- Strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and collaborate across technical, creative, merchandising, and business teams
- Hybrid in Grinnell, Iowa, with an onsite expectation of 3 to 4 days per week
