Senior Sensor Modeling Software Engineer

Oversee the design, architecture, and development of simulation models, visualizations, and virtual environments to enhance the performance, safety, and durability of software and hardware systems throughout the product life cycle. Lead complex sensor modeling efforts by partnering with stakeholders to identify simulation requirements and system dynamics, while reviewing data collection and processing for use in simulations. Execute the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, system integration, and maintenance support for P-8A AAS Training Systems contracts. Validate, verify, and refine simulation software code and test procedures against real-world data, documenting results to ensure software system requirements are met. Modernize and migrate legacy simulation software to new operating systems while advising management on software engineering practices and influencing internal standards. Represent Boeing in the program science community and serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, and regulations. Train and mentor others while working independently in a challenging environment that requires up to 10% travel.
