Job Summary
As a Senior Semiconductor Metrology Engineer, you will support R&D and production manufacturing in the semiconductor metrology lab. Key responsibilities include developing, qualifying, and maintaining measurement recipes for metrology tools; analyzing complex datasets to identify trends and root causes; defining and reporting KPIs related to metrology capabilities; collaborating with various teams to enhance process development; and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with semiconductor metrology techniques, advanced data analysis skills, and the ability to communicate technical insights effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 5 years with a Master's degree; or a Ph.D. with 3 years of experience in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong background in semiconductor metrology techniques such as optical, X-ray, electron-beam, and bulk/surface analysis methods.
- Experience setting up, optimizing, and maintaining measurement recipes on commercial metrology platforms.
- Advanced data analysis skills, including statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), and uncertainty analysis.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and programming environments (e.g., Python, MATLAB, JMP).
- Strong documentation, presentation, and technical communication skills.
