Job Summary
Senior Security Officer at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK. Responsible for security of patients, visitors, and staff; duties include canine officer responsibilities with a security service dog, responding to radio calls to support security operations, providing timely cover and assistance to fellow officers, maintaining proficiency and care for the assigned dog, transporting the dog to veterinary visits, and preparing reports/logs. Requires ability to drive per policy; 10-hour variable shifts totaling 40 hours weekly; emphasis on maintaining standards and appearance as required by department policy.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years Experience as a security officer, or two (2) years’ experience working in healthcare security, or one (1) year experience as a police officer or security officer with an accredited police/corrections academy.
