Senior Security Officer

Directly supervises security guards and substitutes on assigned shift; provides security coverage at campus access gate and conducts patrols to protect life and property in compliance with directives. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating security staff; provides staff training and evaluates performance; reviews incident reports; assists with policy development; conducts security audits and safety trainings; coordinates with center staff on safety matters; conducts searches of students’ rooms and belongings; ensures compliance with the Zero Tolerance Policy and mentors students to support Career Success Standards; maintains documentation and reports to management, insurers, and government agencies. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent with one year of supervisory experience, Security Guard Card, CPR/First Aid certification, valid driver's license, and strong written/verbal communication and computer skills.
