Senior Security Engineer II

Define cloud security standards, guardrails, and reference architectures for Infrastructure, SRE, and Product Engineering across AWS, GCP, and self-managed Kubernetes. Lead cross-functional security initiatives end to end, from scoping and stakeholder management to driving technical decisions and owning delivery. Own threat modeling as a repeatable discipline for new cloud technologies, design secure-by-default architectures, and advance detection strategy by creating high-signal SIEM rules and IR playbooks. Serve as a senior incident responder and cloud-forensics lead, optimizing tooling like CrowdStrike and Tenable while managing vulnerability workflows. Establish IaC and pipeline security standards, enforce patch management best practices, and secure large-scale distributed systems and data stores. This pure IC role focuses on technical depth and influence to shape Braze's cloud security posture across Engineering.
