Job Summary
Senior Security Engineer – Cybersecurity Posture, Hygiene & AI Enablement responsible for leading cybersecurity posture and hygiene initiatives, developing APIs-based data extraction for posture monitoring, creating dashboards/alerts for drift remediation, documenting CIS baselines, integrating AI responsibly into security workflows, and mentoring junior team members. Requires a Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in information security with significant experience, expertise in tools like Tenable/CrowdStrike/Windows Defender, proficiency in Python/Bash/PowerShell, experience with Splunk, knowledge of CIS/NIST controls, and strong communication skills; role is Hybrid in North Chicago, IL with US-based remote/work flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; Master’s degree with 5 years’ experience; or PhD with 0 years’ experience in information security and/or related functions
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity tool capabilities for continuous monitoring including Tenable, CrowdStrike, Windows Defender
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell
- Proficient with Splunk for data analysis and security monitoring
- Professional cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CCSP, GSEC) highly desirable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
