Senior Security Adjudicator

Job Summary
Senior Security Adjudicator to adjudicate complex, high-risk security clearance cases, applying whole-person adjudication principles to evaluate risk to national security. Responsibilities include performing QA and consistency reviews of adjudication decisions, mentoring junior and mid-level adjudicators, advising leadership on policy interpretation and adjudicative standards, and producing clear, defensible written decisions suitable for audits, legal review, and IG investigations. Requires deep expertise in federal adjudicative guidelines and security clearance processes, as well as strong written/analytical skills and experience with senior-level adjudications in government or cleared contractor environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Studies, Political Science, Psychology, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in personnel security, background investigations, or adjudication
- Demonstrated experience with senior-level adjudications in government or cleared contractor environments
- Strong independent judgment and ability to make risk-based national security decisions under ambiguity
- Proven experience handling appeals, exceptions, and complex cases
- Excellent written and analytical skills, particularly for decision documentation
