Job Summary
Senior Secure Spaces Interior Designer at AECOM focused on designing highly secure, technically sophisticated interiors for Federal and mission-critical clients. Responsibilities include secure interior design and planning of classified environments (SCIFs, SAPFs, secure communications centers) with compliance to ICD-705 and DoD standards, development of detailed deliverables (space plans, elevations, details, specifications) balancing security, functionality, and design quality, participation in secure design reviews and client meetings, and collaboration with Accrediting Officials and project teams to integrate access control, intrusion detection, acoustical protection, and RF shielding. Lead coordination across architectural, engineering, interior, and technology systems; translate mission needs into compliant interior solutions and advance secure interior design standards across the firm. Requires strong programming, space planning, stakeholder communication, and experience coordinating multi-disciplinary systems in classified environments; NCIDQ certification and interior design licensure preferred. Sponsorship not available; U.S. citizenship mandatory due to Federal contract requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution
- 8+ years of related professional experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- U.S. citizenship required
