Job Summary
Senior SDET role focused on hands-on test automation for Abbott’s medical/diagnostic software portfolio. You will write automated tests and contribute to automation coverage across unit, integration, UI, and mobile testing, design and maintain automation frameworks using Python with Appium, Selenium, and Robot, and build scalable automation solutions. The role emphasizes coding over leadership, collaboration with developers and QA, creation of test datasets and automated test suites, and ensuring regulatory/compliance documentation is met for medical products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in Software Testing and/or Software Quality Assurance
- 5+ years’ experience as an SDET with hands-on automation coding
- 4–6 years of hands-on coding experience in Python (or similar language)
- Experience testing mobile applications
- UI or API automation experience; mobile automation with Appium is a major plus
