Job Summary
Lead the manufacture of cellular therapy products within the GMP environment, supporting technology transfer, process validation, and continuous process improvement. Ensure compliance with GMP, quality, and regulatory requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful manufacturing outcomes. Analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and support investigations to maintain audit readiness. Mentor and develop Production scientists to foster a culture of quality, safety, and operational excellence. This site-based role at the Sawston facility involves standard business hours with potential flexibility for shift arrangements. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, and agency applications are not accepted.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant life sciences discipline, such as Biology, Biomedical Science, Immunology, Hematology, Pharmacology or similar
- Significant experience working within a GMP regulated environment
- Experience in cell and gene therapy, ATMP manufacturing, or process development
- Knowledge of GMP requirements and quality systems within a regulated setting
- Experience working within cleanroom manufacturing environments
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with a collaborative approach to working across teams
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
