Job Summary

Develop biomarker, pharmacodynamic, and target engagement assays using flow cytometry, multiplexed platforms, and quantitative methods like ELISA, MSD, and Luminex. Execute independent bench studies, including functional genomics with CRISPR and RNAi, to characterize oncogenic targets and drug mechanisms. Collaborate with project teams and contract laboratories to oversee molecular, cellular, and in vivo studies, then co-author non-clinical pharmacology reports and scientific publications. Interpret and discuss data to support clinical decision-making for Oncology TRC programs, ranging from candidate optimization through IND enabling activities to Clinical Proof of Concept.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of academic and / or industry experience
  • Master's Degree
  • 5+ years of academic and / or industry experience
  • Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in the Life Sciences
  • 2+ of academic and / or industry experience
  • Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience and/or 1-3 years of industry experience
  • BA or MA with at least 5-7 years of industry experience in drug discovery or translational research in the pharma or biotech setting
  • Must be highly proficient in flow cytometry and the preclinical development of human blood-based biomarker assays
  • Experience performing biomarker-focused laboratory work, including handling cell cultures and performing analysis of protein and DNA/RNA samples using a variety of methodologies including but not limited to MSD/ELISA, Luminex, RNAi, CRISPR, qPCR and primary cell isolation, culture and functional assays
  • Ability to conduct experimental work independently, with accurate, detailed record-keeping
  • Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects, coordinating in-house research with collaborative work
  • Ability to summarize and interpret scientific data in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate well with peers and supervisors
  • Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of relevant scientific principles
  • Ability to be flexible in case of changing priorities
  • 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility

Desired Qualifications

  • Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience and/or 1-3 years of industry experience, or BA or MA with at least 5-7 years of industry experience in drug discovery or translational research in the pharma or biotech setting
  • Experience performing biomarker-focused laboratory work, including handling cell cultures and performing analysis of protein and DNA/RNA samples using a variety of methodologies including but not limited to MSD/ELISA, Luminex, RNAi, CRISPR, qPCR and primary cell isolation, culture and functional assays is highly desired
  • Experienced in the design and development of cell-based assays using various technology platforms, especially generation and characterization of patient-derived material including organoid or tumoroid cultures and ex vivo manipulation and propagation is highly valued but not required
