Job Summary
Develop color cosmetics formulas with high technical challenges and lead problem solving to ensure smooth launches. Collaborate with process engineers to complete pilot trials, compile and review technical files, and coach fillers to develop products and resolve related technical issues. Identify and drive resolution of technical problems, lead fillers and suppliers in action plan execution, and independently develop and launch 20+ products (lipstick, lip gloss, wax-based color cosmetics, emulsions, and liquids). Requires 3–5 years of color cosmetics formula development experience in a large cosmetics company, familiarity with raw materials and regulatory requirements (US/EU/China), strong written and spoken English, and the ability to work under pressure. Located in Shanghai, China with in-office work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Master degree or above, exceptional candidates with a bachelor’s degree may be considered
- 3-5 years’ color cosmetics formula development experience in a large cosmetics company
- developed independently more than 20 products and launched in market (lipstick, lip gloss, wax base color cosmetics, emulsion type, liquid color cosmetics)
- familiar with raw materials, formula design and quality standards of color cosmetics
- familiar with regulatory requirements of US/EU/China
- ability to work under pressure
- strong English communication (writing, listening, speaking)
