Job Summary
Lead and support preclinical PET imaging studies in a senior scientist capacity, coordinating multiple imaging projects, communicating findings, and contributing to study reports and publications. Provide experimental support for preclinical PET imaging in rodents and larger animals (radiotracer/compound formulation and administration, image acquisition, blood collection), process blood samples for radiometabolite analysis (HPLC and related methods), and operate imaging systems (Mediso Multiscan LFER 150 PET/CT, Mediso nanoScan PET/CT). Analyze imaging data with specialized software, develop and maintain high-quality study protocols, and ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained in collaboration with vendor support. Requires collaboration across imaging, medicinal chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, and clinical development teams. Strong publication record and demonstrated ability to build productive partnerships; pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred. Required Qualifications
- PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, biomedical engineering, or closely related discipline (or Master’s with extensive experience or Bachelor’s with extensive experience)
- Typically 4 years of relevant experience with PhD; up to 10 years with Master’s; up to 12 years with Bachelor’s
- Demonstrated experience in PET imaging in animal models
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong publication record in peer‐reviewed journals
- Proven ability to collaborate and build partnerships
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
