Senior Scientist - Optical Signal Processing

Senior Scientist to develop state-of-the-art algorithms for airborne passive optical systems focused on detection and exploitation of targets with low signal-to-noise ratios. Apply first principles of physics to model and simulate realistic cluttered environments, then advance the signal processing chain from raw sensor data to target classification. Responsibilities include conceiving, prototyping, testing, and maturing image processing algorithms for critical national security missions; working with program leadership to align efforts with priorities; documenting and presenting products to scientists and subject-matter experts. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, hands-on experience in MATLAB/Python/C/C++, and a track record of delivering technical briefs to technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
