Job Summary
Senior Scientist in Omics within the DDSAI organization at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. Lead analysis in drug target identification and evaluation to align priorities with Immunology. Primary location Spring House, PA. Responsibilities include constructing analytic frameworks that integrate perturbation, ontology, and cellular phenotyping with multi-omic datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) to enhance target evaluation and patient stratification; applying ML and network-based methods to link targets to disease pathways and predict on-/off-target effects; developing and applying statistical modeling and AI/ML methods to analyze phenomic, multiomic, and biobank data to identify therapeutically relevant targets and biomarkers; providing design and analysis consultation for Immunology stakeholders; translating computational findings to biological and pharmacological validation; collaborating with Data Sciences and Therapeutic Discovery teams to annotate targets, biomarkers, and networks; and showcasing strong programming proficiency and ability to deliver results within timelines. Ph.D. required with 2-3 years post-PhD experience; experience with immunology is preferred; strong publishing and cross-functional collaboration track record; willingness to work in a fast-moving pharmaceutical environment.
Required Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in a quantitative Biology field – Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Statistical Genetics, or related fields is required.
- 2-3 years experience post PhD degree is required.
- Experience with multi-omic data (RNA gene expression, proteomics, epigenomics, genetics) at both bulk and single cell level is required.
- Proficient in programming and computational skills and demonstrated ability to work with a group of scientists to deliver on objectives in defined timelines, are required.
- Outstanding communication, organizational and leadership skills, with a successful track record of publication and collaboration with cross-functional scientific teams are required.
- Independent, self-motivated, innovative, and able to excel in a goal-oriented, multifaceted and fast-moving team environment are required.
